These strange yet lovable beings visualize how emotions coexist and depend on one another, inviting a gentle reflection on care and survival. The collection spans digital drawings and looping animations, bridging on-chain NFTs with physical exhibitions. Produced with support from the ABB Art & Technology Support Program 2025.

『Symbiosis: 감정의 생태계』는 차오가 ‘기생 생명체’를 통해 불안, 외로움, 상처 등 인간의 감정을 시각화하는 시리즈입니다. 낯설지만 사랑스러운 존재들은 서로 기생·공생하는 감정의 관계를 드러내며, 함께 살아가는 가능성을 질문합니다. 본 컬렉션은 디지털 드로잉과 짧은 루프 애니메이션으로 구성되며, 온라인 NFT와 오프라인 전시를 잇는 확장형 작업입니다. ABB Art & Technology Support Program 2025의 지원으로 제작되었습니다.

〈녹조의 씨앗〉은 낙동강에서 발생한 녹조 독소를 상상적으로 형상화한 애니메이션 루프 작업입니다.

팔이 네 개 달린 둥근 검은 생명체가 공중에서 위아래로 둥둥 떠다니며 씨앗을 떨어뜨립니다. 씨앗이 땅에 닿으면 봉우리가 솟아나고, 이내 터져나와 검은 입자들을 흩뿌립니다. 입자들은 공기 중으로 흩어졌다가 다시 사라지며, 이 과정은 끝없이 반복됩니다.

이 작품은 우리가 만든 환경 속에서 탄생한 낯선 풍경과, 오염이 만들어내는 순환을 은유적으로 드러냅니다.

Seeds of Algae is a surreal monochrome animation loop inspired by the toxic algal blooms of the Nakdong River in Korea.

A strange round black creature with four elongated arms floats gently up and down in the air, releasing small dark seeds onto the barren ground. Where each seed lands, a bud emerges and bursts into bloom, scattering fine black particles into the atmosphere. The particles drift, dissolve, and disappear, repeating in an endless loop.

The piece visualizes uncanny landscapes born from human-made pollution and reflects on the cycles we have created in our environment.
