The Daegu Intangible Cultural Heritage Association aims to preserve and develop the unique intangible cultural heritage of Daegu, and to pass on the value of this heritage to future generations through systematic and organized transmission activities. The association consists of a total of 19 items, including 17 items designated as Daegu intangible cultural heritage and 2 items as national intangible heritage.

- 작품설명: 이 작품은 십일면천수천안관세음보살(十一面千手千眼觀世音菩薩)인데 불교에서 자비의 화신인 관세음보살이 천 개의 눈으로 고통받는 중생들을 낱낱이 살펴 천 개의 손으로 모두 다 구제한다는 뜻을 가진 관세음보살이다. 천이란 숫자의 개념이기 보다는 무한히 많다는 뜻이 담겨있다. 그리고 정면의 세 얼굴은 자비상, 우측의 세 얼굴은 이빨이 드러난 백아상출상, 좌측의 세 얼굴은 화를 내고 있는 분노상, 그 위의 1면은 크게 웃는 폭대소상, 맨 위의 1면은 여래상으로 모두 11개의 얼굴로 중생들의 근기에 따라 각기 다른 얼굴로 중생을 구원한다는 뜻이다. 이 작품은 거의 모두 순금(금니,금박)으로 그린 그림인데, 금니를 이용하여 입체감을 살린 회화성이 높은 본인만의 창작 불화이다.

- Description: This work depicts the Eleven-Faced Thousand-Hand Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteshvara (十一面千手千眼觀世音菩薩), who is the embodiment of compassion in Buddhism. Avalokiteshvara is said to observe all suffering beings with a thousand eyes and to rescue them with a thousand hands. The term "thousand" here signifies an infinite number rather than a specific quantity. The three faces in the front represent the compassionate aspect, the three faces on the right show the fierce aspect with bared teeth, the three faces on the left depict the wrathful aspect, the single face above is a broad smiling face, and the topmost face represents the Tathagata. In total, there are eleven faces, each representing different aspects to save beings according to their spiritual capacities. This artwork is primarily painted with pure gold (gold leaf and gold powder), showcasing a high level of artistic expression and three-dimensionality through the use of gold, making it a unique creation of traditional Buddhist painting by the artist.
